Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled spirit made from fermented grain and typically matured in wooden casks for a period of time.
WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
Whisky can be made anywhere in the world. Certain countries, such as Ireland, Scotland, the United States and Canada, have regulations that govern its production.
IS IT WHISKY OR WHISKEY?
It's both! Some countries prefer one way of spelling over an other, Canada and Scotland always use "whisky" and Ireland and the United States use "whiskey."
